On certain vehicles in areas of moderate to heavy snowfall, a
buildup of snow or ice on the windshield or wipers could restrict the
movement of the wiper arm. The wiper linkage may become detached from
the motor shaft, and the wipers will become inoperative. Dealers will
install a new wiper crank arm, driver’s side link and crank arm nut.
2001-2006 Mercedes-Benz C-Class
2007-2008 Mercedes-Benz C-Class
2002-2006 Mercedes-Benz S-Class

Certain vehicles equipped with Active Body Control have
sensors on the front struts. Due to variations in the supplier’s
soldering process, soldering points on the AZ-sensors boards may not be
within tolerances, and signals from the affected sensors may not be
accurately transmitted. A variation can result in an uneven front
suspension. Dealers will inspect and replace the affected sensors.
2008 Hyundai Elantra
Vehicles affected: 8,498
On certain vehicles, the fuel pump motor may not have the
proper and uniform electrical surface contact. This may cause the pump
to produce less pressure than required to supply the fuel injection
system, which could result in poor engine starting and performance.
Dealers will replace the fuel pump sub-assembly.
2006 BMW 3 Series (Sport and standard seat)
2004-2006 BMW 5 Series (Sport, comfort and standard seat)
2006 BMW 6 Series
2004-2005 BMW 7 Series

On certain vehicles, the front passenger seat occupant
detection mat can fatigue during usage, depending on the seat
configuration, vehicle geometry, and manner and frequency of the
passenger’s entry and exit. Over time, micro-cracks could develop in
the sides of the mat, which could lead to a break of the conductive
path. The system will recognize a failure and the front passenger
airbag will be deactivated. The airbag “On/Off” lamp will illuminate to
make occupants aware of the deactivation. Affected models will receive
an extended warranty of 10 years; under the extended warranty program,
an occupant detection mat that experiences this specific issue will be
replaced at no charge to the customer.
